期刊簡介	THCI期刊 ▇ Modern-History-Institute Bulletin, SINICA（中研院近代史研究所集刊） 19世紀以來中國的內外演變，幾無一不與世界各國息息相關，故「近代中國史研究」具有重要的國際性，向來深受全球學術界之關注。1955年創立至今之「中研院近代史研究所」，則是近代史研究之國際重鎮。該所的研究範圍，主要在探討近現代中國在和西方國家接觸後，中國在政治、軍事、外交、經濟、社會、文化、思想等各方面，如何受到影響與變遷，以及對西方衝擊又有如何的反應，尤其著重探討「現代性」（modernity）的形成。該所除秉持史學研究的傳統與基礎外，更加強對當代社會、人文與世界的關懷。該所共分成8個研究群：冷戰時期海峽兩岸發展比較研究、婦女與性別研究、中國近代知識建構與知識傳播研究、城市史研究、蔣介石研究、胡適研究、東亞區域研究、近代早期研究等。發行40餘年之「中研院近代史研究所集刊」，集合了所內與海外學者之佳作論著、書評、研究討論，為近代中國史研究之國際級領導刊物。

Introduction	▇Modern-History-Institute Bulletin, SINICA（中研院近代史研究所集刊） Established in 1955, the Institute of Modern History of SINICA is situated in a key position in China studies globally. Its research focus is on how modern China was affected, transited and changed in politics, military affairs, diplomacy, economy, society, culture and thoughts after China connected the West countries, especially on the forming procedure of “Modernity”.
